7 Best Date Night Spots in London

We are delighted to have Alex to share her Beautiful Guest Post with us on the 7 best possible date night places when you are  roaming in the great city of London! She is a lovely travel blogger you can find more of her works on !!

Hi I’m Alex and I blog over at I’m a mum and wife and a lover of travel, good food, great beer, red lipstick, new shoes and getting creative. I’m here today to talk about some of the Best Date Nights in London.

Having lived in the city for my whole life, and having met and married my husband here, I’ve been on my fair share of London dates. Here are the top 7 (in no particular order!). I’ve chosen a mix of places so you are bound to find one you love; whether you are looking for somewhere romantic, fun or a little unusual! Let me know what you think!

  1. On your bike

Hire a Santander bike (you can pick them up all over the city) and discover London by bicycle. TFL have various routes here so you can see a whole new side to the City

  1. Get your skates on

What could be more romantic than a Winter date in London? Some of the most iconic buildings in London have ice skating rinks set up outside in the winter and they make the perfect date – my personal favourite is the rink at Somerset House

  1. Catch a Movie

Throughout the Summer there are tonnes of pop-up cinemas in fun locations across the city; we love Rooftop Cinema Club on top of the Bussey Building in Peckham  When the weather isn’t so great The Prince Charles Cinema has comfy seats and a great selection of new and classic films:

  1. Go Retro

Brick Lane in East London is famous for it’s vintage shops, pick up a snazzy outfit then grab diner-style food, incredible cocktails and bowl your date over with the All Star Lanes bowling alley – they even have a DJ at the weekend!

  1. Dine by candlelight

London has some of the World’s finest restaurants, as well as some of the most romantic. For those of you with cash to splash Sushi Samba  and Clos Maggiore are beautiful and serve incredible fine dining food. For those on a smaller budget Yama Momo in East Dulwich is a perfectly intimate and romantic venue.

  1. Get some free culture

Most of the museums and art galleries in London are free to enter. If your date likes art then why not spend an afternoon wandering around the Tate Modern, the viewing platform offers some of the most incredible views of London and it will give you lots to talk about afterwards whilst having a riverside stroll!

7. Share a joke

London has plenty of stand-up comedy venues and comedy clubs including Up The Creek in Greenwich place has been going for years and hosts a mix of new and upcoming comedians and established ones. It’s a definite ice breaker plus Greenwich is beautiful and there are plenty of places for pre-show dinner around this part of London.

🙂 Love

Alex !
